In the case of my mum, blood work said she was low in calcium. Doctor put her on calcium supplements. She goes back a month later and her calcium levels had dropped even further! So, mum call's me and says doc wanted to double her dose. Clearly that didn't make sense! I asked what were her calcium tablets. Turns out they were animal based. I said she needed to get vegetarian ones. Doc couldn't see what difference that would make, but played along and gave her a scrip for vegetarian calcium. Month later, calcium levels back within range. She had great pleasure 'educating' the doc about her blood group.
There is always 'kidney stress' with Rh- group. Too much animal calcium for this blood group can create kidney stones for example.

My bloodwork showed low levels of B12 only, so I started supplementing with that vitamin for a short time and felt less fatigued right away, so now I just pop them whenever I remember to, just to keep the levels up.

My health provider did not mention anything about Calcium, D3 or any other supplementation, but the Dietician did. I think they just give generic supplementation advice depending on age. She didn't ask if I was getting enough Calcium or Vitamin D from my food intake, she just spouted off from a script.

Anyway, I was just remembering when my daughter started taking anything and everything, trial and error, to eliminate her fatigue and all she ended up with was neon urine...expensive neon urine and still felt fatigued. Which is also corroborated with many health providers that the body only takes what the body needs and eliminates the rest. So where does the solution lie? Perhaps in time released supplements or cutting up the supplement and taking it twice or three times throughout the day? More trial and error?

So I just did one day's of food choice intake and I seem to be good with Calcium and Vit. D, Vit K seems to be lacking but I can just pop a multi-vitamin now and again to take care of that.

Edit: Actually I cook with Canola Oil and Olive Oil, which Canola Oil has Vitamin K, so basically I added the 1 serving of Canola Oil at breakfast and half of my daily requirements were met. I use a lot more Canola Oil for cooking dinner. So just adding in the oils brings my Vit. K levels almost up to the daily requirement.
